On behalf of a well-known American client in the filtration market, PRONIC has created its largest line of automatic tapping machines.
The design brief was quite a challenge for this small French company.
This project :
- Is a set of 4 tapping machines in a line with a press for oil filter gaskets.
- Can tap gaskets fitting M18, M20, ¾ or 13/16, with a height of 6mm.
- Works at a speed of 98 taps per minute.
Each line consists of :
- A system for the unloading of parts with an electromagnetic arm which takes the parts from the tray and places them on a conveyor belt which feeds the vibrating bowl.
- A vibrating bowl which positions the plates the right way round at the entry to the tapping machine.
- A robotic arm to distribute the plates 2 by 2 on each tapping track.
- 5 tapping tracks with lubrication, detection and disposal of non-conforming parts as they exit the machine.
